One of Australia’s leading, national law firms is currently seeking a talented Business Development Manager to join its high performing business development team on a part time basis.  This role has responsibility for supporting Partners on business development and strategic client accounts in the Government sector.

The primary purpose of this role is to contribute to the firm’s client retention, client development and new business development initiatives.  Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing advice on business development and profile raising initiatives.
  • Tender, submission and credentials preparation: including researching and qualifying opportunities and providing advice on strategy.
  • Implementing client planning and client management initiatives including financial analysis related to client teams.
  • Developing relationships with key industry associations.
  • Event management associated with specific client initiatives.
  • Developing targeted communication programs.
  • Collaborating on national marketing and business development projects.

To be successful, you must be tertiary qualified and have a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience (ideally gained within a professional services environment).  It is also important that you have an understanding of the public sector gained through your previous experience.  It is essential that you have excellent writing skills and developed relationship building skills. You will be a pro-active and robust individual who enjoys working in a team environment.
