Our client is a leading global professional services firm which attracts driven and passionate employees who show innovation. There is currently an opportunity to join the firm in this senior communications role to manage a small team and drive communications strategy. This is an opportunity to work closely with senior executives nationally and globally in advising them on their internal and external communications.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Media Relations: this will be a key focus of this position in both safeguarding and shaping the brand. This will involve coaching and advising senior leaders within the firm; identifying and developing opportunities for pro-active media relations and increasing share of voice; managing and responding to any media issues; and developing and maintaining excellent relationships with the media.
- Internal Communications: working with the leadership team to advise on internal communications strategy.
- Website and Social Media: advising on all aspects of the website and social media platforms and developing innovative strategies.
- Speechwriting: supporting senior executives through development of key speeches.
- Brand Management: responsibility for brand representation and awareness across the firm.
- Team Management: managing a small and talented team.
To be successful in your application, you will be degree qualified (in marketing, communications or journalism) and be able to demonstrate previous success in developing and implementing communications strategies in professional services, financial services or a large listed company. You will have excellent media relations abilities; existing and strong relationships with business journalists as well as the ability to build new relationships will be viewed favourably. Experience in advising senior leaders as well as a solid understanding of communication channels and flows will also assist your application.
