Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, the primary focus of this new role is to grow market share and achieve revenue growth for the firm in the Energy & Resources sector. This will be achieved through the development, delivery and management of strategic, successful and measurable marketing and business development initiatives specifically around the firm’s key clients and targets in the Energy & Resources sector. Key to success in this role will also be the ability to make a significant contribution to the firm’s client listening progamme, as well as excellent team management and development skills.
In addition, you will spearhead the strategic discussion on major tenders and proposals, develop and coach partners and develop a thought leadership program focusing on clients and key targets in the Energy & Resources sector. Underpinning these major deliverables will be the development and delivery of client account management and planning systems and related processes, client industry analysis, development and management of the process around the firm’s client acquisition and retention strategy and budget management.
Essential to the role will be deep and rich knowledge of the energy and/or resources industry within Australia, tertiary qualifications in business, commerce or a related degree, with post tertiary studies (MBA or equivalent) highly preferred. A minimum of 5 – 6 years broad marketing or key client management experience in a sophisticated services environment including legal, accounting, consulting or industry associations is also mandatory. Team leadership and development skills are also crucial, as are strong communication and influencing skills, project management experience, demonstrated strategic ability and excellent analytical and numeracy skills. An ability to manage interactions with peers and internal clients, especially under deadline pressure, is mandatory as well as professional presentation and an ability to motivate a team of technical experts.
