Responsibilities:

• Report to Director of Business Development & Marketing
• Provide strategic PR advice to the partnership
• Interview partners to obtain and develop newsworthy content and secure mentions in relevant media through proactive pitching
• Build a strong working relationship with regional and local media
• Prepare press releases, coordinate media interviews and enquiries
• Script and edit speeches when required
• This role is offered as a 12-month contract initially with scope to develop

Requirements:

• Degree qualified in communications, marketing or journalism
• Minimum of 8 years relevant experience
• Demonstrated track record in developing and implementing PR strategies in professional services, financial services or a large corporate
• Strong relationships with business journalists and the ability to build new relationships is a plus
• Commercial maturity
• Excellent communication skills - written and oral
