An opportunity has emerged for an energetic, client-focused and experienced Business Development professional to join our Business Development team in Brisbane. In this role you will not only be responsible for leading business development initiatives in the Brisbane office, but as part of the Firm’s national BD team you will work on national projects and also assist our DLA Piper counterparts in Asia, the UK, Europe and America on international tenders and initiatives.
The role’s responsibilities include:
- Working with Brisbane partners to develop and implement business development planning and activities across practice groups in the local market
- Analysing market and client information
- Identifying thought leadership opportunities
- Development of communications materials to support marketing campaigns, events, sponsorships and seminars
- Project management of bids in conjunction with BD team colleagues and fee-earners
- Working closely with Brisbane partners in relation to the Firm’s Priority and Key Client programs.
- Developing profile and credibility with internal clients and actively promoting the BD function
- Ensuring firm-wide tender policies and processes are followed, including the bid qualification process and internal debrief sessions.
To be considered for this position you need:
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing or a business related discipline
- A minimum 5 years’ business development and marketing/communications experience - at least two year’s experience in a professional services environment
- Track record in bids project management
- Excellent interpersonal skills and meticulous attention to detail
- To enjoy working both as part of an integrated team and autonomously.
