There is currently an opportunity to join one of the world’s most successful law firms as a Senior Business Development Manager.  As the most senior BD professional in Australia, this role will manage and drive BD strategy and activities across Australia and primarily support Partners in the high-end, cross-border finance and M&A areas.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing & BD for Asia-Pacific, based in Hong Kong, and working closely with the Managing Partner, Australia, key responsibilities will include:

• developing and implementing BD plans;
• establishing best practices, systems and processes;
• developing best practice for proposals and sales;
• responsibility for account management of strategic clients;
• coaching and training Partners in BD;
• responsibility for positioning the Australian brand;
• contributing to Asia-Pacific and global BD projects; and  
• managing a newly formed team of 2 BD professionals.

To be successful in your application you will be degree qualified and have approximately 6+ years’ experience at a senior level in BD in a law firm or other professional services environment.  Experience working in an international firm will be an advantage.  You will have proven people management experience and strong client relationship management abilities.
