The Banking and Financial Services Group (BFS) is the primary relationship manager for Macquarie's retail client base in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, North America and Europe. Macquarie Adviser Services (MAS), a division of the Banking and Financial Services Group (BFS), manages relationships with external financial intermediaries and provides sales, service and product management of in-house and external products. MAS is currently seeking a capable and highly motivated Strategic Marketing Director, to join the team.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing for MAS, you will have responsibility for managing the marketing function for Macquarie Bank Mortgage Solutions and Macquarie Life, coaching and developing a team of five marketers and assisting the Head of Marketing with strategic initiatives.
More specifically, your responsibilities will include:
- Marketing Strategy: Development of a strategic marketing plan, maximising reach and ROI on campaigns, improving marketing-related satisfaction scores, and developing, testing and implementing key messages for each product/segment for each stage of the product lifecycle;
- Team Management: Manage, lead, support and develop a team of marketers, assisting them to meet their development goals as well as delivering on the business requirements;
- Budget Management: Ensure available budget delivers maximum benefit to MAS, and ensure campaign processes and templates are followed;
- Stakeholder Management: Maintaining strong relationships with all levels of management within BFS as well as external stakeholders.
To be successful in this role it is essential that you have a proven track record in a Strategic Marketing role successfully leading and developing a team. You will also have:
- Marketing Degree with preferably post degree qualifications (e.g. MBA);
- PS146 compliance (preferable);
- Significant experience in similar level marketing role developing and implementing acquisition and retention marketing strategies, ideally within financial services;
- Depth and breadth of knowledge and experience in marketing principles across the whole marketing mix;
- Working product knowledge of platforms and/or managed funds;
- A pragmatic and commercial approach;
- Exceptional communication skills and an ability to motivate and influence stakeholders at all levels;
- Strong understanding of business financials and the ability to understand and influence the bottom line.
