The Head of Marketing will manage a large team and work with a variety of internal stakeholders in a dynamic Segment based marketing model. Reporting to the Director of Engagement, you would be part of the senior Leadership team that sets the strategy for World Vision’s engagement with our Australian supporters.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing strong strategic thought and leadership to Marketing activities for WVA, aligned to wider Engagement and organisational strategy
  • Leading a team of segment specialists to deepen and expand organisational understanding and outreach in the market
  • Direct and control the marketing business activities to achieve brand, acquisition, retention, income, customer relationship management and advocacy targets

To be successful in this key role, you will require:

  • Extensive experience in a senior level Marketing role, within a complex and relationship driven business
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Marketing, Business or relevant discipline
  • A true collaborative nature, and collegial working approach
  • The ability to lead and inspire, whilst being a strong and informed decision maker
  • Strong operational and numeracy skills, founded in a solid understanding of Marketing metrics (ROI analysis, capacity planning etc)
  • A strong passion for the work of World Vision Australia, and identification with our Core Values


This role demands a high level mix of both Marketing technical skills and the ability to navigate a complex and changing environment. You must have a demonstrable track record in delivering outcomes, be able to take on and work with constructive criticism, as well as the operational requirements of managing a large professional marketing group.
